William Schallert — one of television’s most familiar faces — has passed away at his California home at the age of 93.

The longtime actor first found fame as the father of Patty Duke on “The Patty Duke Show.”

Tragically, William would pass away within mere weeks of his television daughter — with Patty dying at the age of 69 on March 29, 2016.

The popular Hollywood mainstay made his screen debut in 1947, and went on to appear in classic films such as “Mighty Joe Young” and “Singin’ in the Rain.”

William’s famously weary face became a regular presence in living rooms after “The Patty Duke Show” ended in 1966 — with roles on timeless episodes of shows including “Star Trek,” “The Lucy Show,” “Roseanne,” and “ER.”

Amazingly enough, the veteran actor never considered retirement.

William was often confined to a wheelchair towards the end of his life, but still made frequent acting appearances — including a final small-screen role as an elevator operator on a 2014 episode of “Two Broke Girls.”
