When CBS canceled "The Waltons" Mary was still only 18.

 But she had a tough time landing new acting jobs. She decided to undergo plastic surgery.

"I kept hearing, ‘You’re losing this part or that part because you don’t have big boobs!’ So, I thought, ‘Well, I can get big boobs!’"

It was a decision that would haunt her for many years.
