Super hunks Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt have been locked in a secret feud for 25 years — and it’s set to explode big-time!
That’s what movie insiders say now that Brad’s World War Z 2 is stuck in production hell and Tom’s riding high with his comeback in Top Gun: Maverick.
“Tom was the biggest A-list name of the ’80s and Brad of the ’90s. They’ve traded plenty of barbs in the past, but this could be a real showdown!” snitched an industry source.
The pair first fell out on the set of 1994’s Interview with the Vampire, with Brad admitting he was “miserable” making the film — and Tom’s presence didn’t help.
“He bugged me,” Brad reportedly declared at the time. “There came a point during filming when I started really resenting him.
“He’s North Pole, I’m South. He’s always coming at you with a handshake, whereas I may bump into you. There was this underlying competition that got in the way of any real conversation.”
In 2009, Brad got under Tom’s skin again after both starred in World War II dramas. While promoting “Inglourious Basterds,” Brad dissed Tom’s 2008 flop Valkyrie, slamming it as “a ridiculous movie.”
And in 2010, Tom lost the lead role in Salt as a CIA agent-turned-spy to Brad’s then wife, Angelina Jolie — even though the part was originally written for a man.
But showbiz insiders insist Tom will have the last laugh when Top Gun beats World War Z at the box office — if Brad’s movie ever gets made.
