Salty motormouth Sharon Osbourne and goody two shoes Marie Osmond are battling over the top spot on The Talk, insiders dished.
Since CBS show creator Sara Gilbert stepped down, the wife of heavy metal wild man Ozzy Osbourne feels she’s the rightful heir to the daytime chatfest’s throne, said a source, who added, “Sharon will NOT put up with Marie trying to hog the spotlight!”
But a second TV insider believes network bigwigs are banking on the culture clash between liberal Sharon and Mormon Marie, in the hopes it will help the broadcast compete with the combative crew of ABC rival The View.
Sharon Osbourne and Marie Osmond did not respond to our requests for comment.
