The ripped Jersey Shore stud muffin says he hopes to become one of America’s biggest stars – but long before he became a reality show sensation, he already had a huge following.
In high school he was the object of several gay admirers – including one smitten student, Chip, who sent him love notes and showered him with romantic gifts, say sources.
The gay classmate even gave him gold chains – which Mike happily wore.
America has watched in amazement as the 29-year-old built a huge TV following and began rubbing shoulders with Hollywood’s elite, including Leonardo DiCaprio, "Entourage" star Kevin Connolly and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
Now he’s Dancing with the Stars with partner Karina Smirnoff.
He’s come a long way from the days he attended New Jersey’s Manalapan High School – where he paid close attention to his looks.
"The girls liked him – and so did some of the guys," said a longtime friend of the MTV star.
