Seems the “X Factor” judge got his staffers so peeved because he wouldn’t stop lighting up backstage that they slapped a fine on him for every time he can’t resist the urge to spark one inside the London studio where the show is filmed.
“Rather than wait until after the show and go outside like everybody else, Simon uses the advertising breaks," said a source on the set.
"But because they’re short, he never quite makes i!"
