Former “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” actor Nicholas Brendon won’t stop getting drunk and disorderly – and former co-star SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR is leaping in to try to save her old friend!
That’s because the actress is terrified of Nicholas coming to the same tragic end as her former “Crazy Ones” co-star, Robin Williams, insiders have revealed to The National ENQUIRER.
“Sarah loves Nick, and she’s still haunted by Robin’s death,” said a friend. “She said that she just can’t stand idly by and watch Nick destroy himself!”
Nicholas, 43, starred as Sarah’s sidekick, Xander Harris, on the hit “Buffy” series for seven seasons.
He was arrested on March 13 in Tallahassee, Fla., and charged with causing $1,000 worth of damage to his hotel room – marking his third arrest in just five months, all for trashing hotel property during comic book and sci-fi conventions.
Now Sarah “wants to do everything she can to help him,” a friend added.
“She called Nick and offered to do anything – including footing his bill for another try in rehab,” the source told The ENQUIRER.
“She doesn’t want to see a repeat of Robin’s tragedy among her friends!”
