San Bernardino Nerd-Next-Door’s Shocking Terror Secrets! — 7 Fast Facts

San bernardino massacre enrique marquez sq

Enrique Marquez was considered to be the harmless nerd-next-door when word got out that he'd acquired the guns that Syed Farook and his murderous bride Tashfeen Malik used in the San Bernardino Massacre — where the killer couple murdered 14 people in a California facility that helps the developmentally disabled.

But authorities have since discovered chilling evidence that suggest Enrique was part of the cold-blooded plot!

The National ENQUIRER revealed early on that the FBI had learned Marquez was actually a member of the synagogue attended by the murderous Muslims.

Now there seven troubling new facts that have the FBI concerned that Marquez is far more dangerous than he looks!

1) Marquez, 24, is now known to be more than just a neighbor of Farook and Malik. He's also believed to have been in a fake marriage with Mariya Chernykh — who's the sister of Farook's sister-in-law. FBI sources told The ENQUIRER that Marquez might have been paid $200 a month for the fake marriage as part of a simple scam to get immigration benefits, but they also have to consider more sinister motivations.

2) FBI sources confirmed to The ENQUIRER that Marquez has told them that he considers himself "radicalized" after being exposed to the teachings of notorious Islamic hate preacher Anwar al-Awlaki.

3) The FBI is investigating suspicions that Marquez had helped Farook and Malik build their arsenal of homemade pipe bombs — and say the former security guard might have built earlier explosives for a planned 2012 terrorist attack!

4) FBI agents say that Marquez did more than just purchase legal guns that were later illegally modified by Farook and Malik. The nerdy neighbor also bought "smokeless powder" in 2012 that was later used in explosives built by the killer couple!

5) Authorities say that Marquez bought the killer weaponry for Farook because the aspiring terrorist was afraid that he'd fail a background test in California. They also believe that Marquez began to develop his own fixation on radical Islamic terrorism after Farook began to discuss the Muslim religion with him in 2007.

6) Marquez quickly checked himself into a mental-health facility after the San Bernardino Massacre, but FBI agents raided his home just three days after the attacks.

7) A law-enforcement source told The ENQUIRER that the investigation into Marquez as a co-conspirator becomes more important as the FBI begins to change its theory that Farook was originally radicalized by Malik via a long-distance internet romance. FBI Director James Comey announced that both of the killers were already radicalized before meeting online in 2013. "They're communicating online," Comey said, "showing signs in their communication of their joint commitment to jihad and to martyrdom."
