Ryan O’Neal pleads guilty to possession of drugs.
The actor, 67, appeared with his son Redmond, 23 and agreed to enter a 18-month drug program.
If the Love Story star is successful in the drug counseling, the case will be dropped.
His son Redmond’s drug case was postponed until later.
."The drugs found in Ryan’s bedroom were Redmond’s," O’Neals barrister Mark Werksman told media.
"He had confiscated them from Redmond. He was trying to keep them away from his son."
Both O’Neals were busted September 17, 2007 at Ryan’s Malibu home following a probation investigation in which deputies found methamphetamines, a vial of which was discovered in Ryan’s bedroom.
