Cancer survivor Robin Roberts will soon be hearing wedding bells and the pitter-patter of little feet, sources told The National ENQUIRER.
The “Good Morning America” co-host plans to marry longtime girlfriend Amber Laign over the holidays, and then the two will have a child!
“Robin is planning a quiet ceremony with family and friends during the holidays,” a pal tells The ENQUIRER. “And then they want to start a family via in vitro fertilization or adoption, said insiders. Robin, 54, survived a battle with breast cancer in 2007, and a bone marrow transplant in 2012 to treat a rare blood disorder myelodysplastic syndrome.
“She scored a new contract that pays her $20 million for each of the next five years, and her health is great,” a pal told The ENQUIRER. “She’s on top of the world and can’t think of anything better than showing Amber how much she loves her by exchanging vows.
“Robin isn’t a show-off. So expect the wedding to be a quiet affair with family and friends. But you can bet that Michelle Obama, a close pal, will get an invite and maybe she’ll bring Barack along!” Meanwhile, the duo yearn to express their love by having a child, added the source.
“If it’s medically feasible, Amber could go the in vitro route,” said the source. “Having gone through medical battles, Robin knows how precious life is. She’d love to bring a baby into this world.”
