Patti LaBelle, 71, is enjoying a hot career revival with an even hotter boy toy!
But her new man Eric Seats, 41, is a successful drummer who’s dating the “Lady Marmalade” singer for love!
“They’ve really been dating for a while,” an industry insider told The ENQUIRER.
“Patti was kind of embarrassed about it, but something’s changed and she’s gone public — maybe because now Eric is finally in his 40s!”
The ENQUIRER has already reported on how Patti has been enjoying a whole new kind of success with her “Patti Cakes” line of sweet potato pies at Walmart.
The popular edibles even sold out during the holidays, with people selling the pies at inflated prices on the internet!
Nobody’s worried about Eric going after Patti as a sweet sugar mama, though.
“Eric’s probably turned down lots of hot touring gigs to stay with Patti,” said the source.
“He’s a favorite of stars like Stevie Wonder and Missy Elliott, and he has his own music production team.
“Everybody thinks this has to be true love!”
It’s still a strange situation with Eric, who’s the father of two, also working closely with Patti’s manager son Zuri Edwards — who’s the same age as Patti’s boyfriend!
“We know that’s been a problem in some ways,” laughed the close pal, “but anyone who knows Patti also knows that she’s going to do whatever she wants!”
