Nicki Minaj’s brother Jelani Maraj made his first court appearance yesterday after cops accused him of repeatedly raping a 12-year-old!
The ENQUIRER has learned that the felony complaint includes shocking charges that Jelani had repeatedly “engaged in a course of sexual conduct against a child” from “about April 1, 2015 until November 30, 2015!”
That’s just one day before Jelani was arrested — and the period also covers the time that Nicki was paying for Jelani’s $30,000 wedding in August!
Nicki also posted an image on Instagram for him that declared: “I would cross the ocean for u. I would go & bring u the moon!”
Star magazine exclusively unearthed the original troubling charges when cops arrested Jelani on December 1.
Nicki’s mother reportedly paid for Jelani’s bail by putting up her own Long Island home. Jelani also showed up in court with famed pitbull attorney Andrea Zellan.
Nicki stayed away from the criminal court action, but Jelani is listed on the bail forms as an employee of Pink Personality, Inc. — a company owned by his famous sister.
Jelani was formally charged with felony sexual condust against a child in the first degree, along with a first degree rape charge.
If convicted, he’s facing up to 50 years in prison.
