NASTY NASHVILLE BUST UPS: HALL OF SHAME

Country’s current crop of combative couples have nothing on a handful of Nashville legends who went through some of the most bitter breakups on record.

George Jones and Tammy Wynette were country royalty who rumbled throughout their six-year marriage. Tammy could not “stand by her man” after George chased her around the house with a loaded rifle in 1975.

Willie Nelson, who was married four times, found himself “On the Road Again” when his first wife Martha Matthews sewed the passed-out, drunken crooner into his bedsheets and beat him with a broomstick!

Flashy “Hee Haw” star Buck Owens broke box office records – and first wife Phyllis Buford’s jaw with a golf club because he thought she was having an affair.

And while Glen Campbell and Tanya Tucker never married, their stormy 1980s courtship ranks among Nashville’s nastiest.

Glen admits they frequently used cocaine during their two-year relationship.
