Down in the dumps over her empty love life, MARTHA STEWART has found comfort – with food!
The 73-year-old entrepreneur has packed on at least 50 pounds while pining for love, sources said.
As these photos obtained by The National ENQUIRER show, she was carrying an ample spare tire while biking in the Hamptons June 13!
“It looks like Martha has given up on finding love!” a source told The ENQUIRER.
The domestic diva – divorced since 1990 – ditched her last boyfriend, Microsoft magnate Charles Simonyi, eight years ago.
“Since then, friends and family have tried to set the desperate grandmother up on blind dates, but she’s never found a love connection,” said the source.
Martha even held “auditions to find a man” in 2013 by setting up a profile on the popular dating site Match.com.
At the time, she described herself as “athletic and toned.”
Meanwhile, 5-foot-9 Martha, who once weighed a trim 140 pounds, now tips the scales at nearly 200 pounds, sources said.
Experts warn such excess fat can trigger chronic diseases, including diabetes.
Added the source: “At her age, Martha has to be careful. Otherwise, she could stroke out and go to her grave alone.”
