Mel B was relieved to discover her lifelong learning struggles were due to dyslexia — and not her lack of smarts!
But it still took the former Spice Girl decades longer than most people to get properly diagnosed.
“I find it very difficult to read sometimes,” she’s admitted, “and especially when I get emotional.”
The “AGT” judge also recalls feeling “stupid” at school — but she’s feeling a lot better after learning that she’s had an actual learning disability all these years.
Mel was finally diagnosed in 2017 at the age of 42, and says the disorder forced her to hire help to record the audiobook of her upcoming memoir about her bitter divorce from Stephen Belafonte.
