Ouch! Meat Loaf took a major fall while doing a Q&A session at the 2019 Texas Frightmare Weekend on Saturday, May 4, and according to TMZ, the singer busted his collarbone in the tumble.
In video obtained by the site, 71-year-old Meat Loaf can be seen talking as he walks toward the right side of the stage. He suddenly stumbles, then falls and disappears behind the black curtains. The audience, which moments before had been laughing, looked around confused and were silent. Per TMZ, he tripped over some wires that were on the stage.
The site also reports that the “Bat Out of Hell” singer was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated for a broken collarbone and stayed overnight.
Last summer, fans were concerned that the rock legend was suffering from serious health issues. At an August 2018 celebrity convention in London, the crooner told fans “he was trying to put a brave face on his pain,” The National ENQUIRER learned from a source at the time. “He admitted he was slowly dying in agony.”
One eyewitness also told The ENQUIRER that Meat Loaf, who arrived at the event in a motorized cart and was walking around with the help of a cane, was slurring his speech, and that his face appeared “fallen” and droopy, as if he may have suffered a stroke.
And in 2016, the singer collapsed on stage during a concert in Canada. He was rushed to a hospital, and reps later explained his collapse as the result of “severe dehydration.”
