Giving back to the earth. Luke Perry wasn’t cremated as previously believed, a source told RadarOnline.com. Instead, said the source, he was buried on his farm in Tennessee, and was wearing a “mushroom suit.”

“The mushroom suit will turn Luke into clean compost,” said the actor’s friend. “This was one of Luke’s last wishes. He was always very ecologically minded.”

Per Radar, the actor’s death certificate listed his place of burial in Tennessee, but his pals and loved ones were told he was cremated. “He was a very spiritual person and also very environmentally conscious, so he would have never wanted a burial,” an insider previously told the site. “And his family would absolutely adhere to his wishes.”

The Riverdale actor, best known for his role of bad boy Dylan McKay in the ‘90s teen drama Beverly Hills, 90210, died on March 4 at the age of 52. Days prior to his death, on February 27, he was hospitalized after suffering a massive stroke. His organs — including his lungs, kidneys, and liver, per a source, were donated after his death.

Perry is survived by his daughter Sophie, son Jack, and fiancee Wendy Madison Bauer.
