STAR TREK villain MALCOM McDOWELL reveals mad menace of obsessed Trekkies!

Malcolm McDowell told The LA Times that that when studio honchos gave William Shatner’s iconic Captain Kirk character a lame send-off in "Star Trek:Generations" he nearly paid the price!

Although McDowell shot to fame as the star of the ultra-violent Stanley Kubrick film “A Clockwork Orange” he got way more more grief from fans after the 1994 flick that “sent Kirk beyond the final frontier”.

“It’s so NUTS,” Malc said. “It’s really a shame. This is an icon, loved for decades. And you know that Bill (Shatner) wanted to do a Jimmy Cagney dancing on the way down the steps. ‘Top of the world, Ma!’

“And we missed that because instead they let Kirk fall on some rocks off screen.”

McDowell revealed that Trek fans were none too pleased the way the intergalactic stud muffin was unceremoniously bumped off.

“I killed Captain Kirk and I got death threats. AND some of them were in Klingon.”
