Seventeen years after they initially met, Kim Basinger and Russell Crowe are getting a shot at romance!

The A-list duo co-starred in the 1997 thriller, “L.A. Confidential,” which earned Kim a Best Actress Oscar –and insiders have told The National ENQUIRER that sparks have been flying since they reunited on the set of the 2016 film, “The Nice Guys.”

“When Kim walked into the first meeting with cast members, both she and Russell lit up,” said an insider.

“They spent the rest of the meeting eyeing each other and flirting.”

The “Gladiator” hunk, 50, made it clear to Kim, 60, that he was attracted to her the first time they met, sources said.

But the blonde bombshell was married to actor Alec Baldwin at the time, and “blew off Russell’s overtures,” the insider explained.

Russell went on to marry Aussie actress Danielle Spencer in 2003. The couple split in 2012.

As The ENQUIRER has reported, Kim had all but sworn off men after a nasty 2002 divorce and long custody battle over daughter Ireland with Alec.

“Russell loves that Kim is low-key and mature. She’s not into the Hollywood game, and he feels the same way,” said the source. “Kim finds Russell’s macho swagger irresistible. He’s a terrific dad, but he also knows how to seduce a woman.

“She’s ready for a full-fledged romance with him, and while they’re keeping things on the down-low, they’re thrilled at how fate brought them back together.”
