Kerry Washington And Husband Sell Home For $1 Million Profit

Kerry house sale square

Whatever their shortcomings as a married couple — the divorce rumors continue to build — Kerry Washington and Nnamdi Asomugha make for one shrewd business couple: They flipped the home they bought last year for a cool $1 million profit!

The “Scandal” star and the retired NFL player purchased the 1920’s French chateau-inspired property for $1.865 million from actress Nicole Sullivan in May 2014 and listed it last month for $2.695 million. They found a buyer for the four-bedroom, four-bathroom estate in just days.

And while many saw the quickie sale of the Hollywood Hills home as an ominous sign that divorce was imminent, insiders insist that all is well on the home front.

The couple still owns a home in Manhattan Beach, which Nnamdi purchased in 2010 with his football dough.

Kerry, 38, and Nnamdi, 34, have been married since June 2013, and they welcomed their first child, daughter Isabelle, in April 2014. They have been the subject of numerous divorce reports over the years, beginning just months after their wedding, when he was cut by the San Francisco 49ers.

Nnamdi — who also spent time with the Oakland Raiders and Philadelphia Eagles during his 11-season career — hasn’t had a job since, which grates on Kerry, who works 14-hour days playing Olivia Pope on “Scandal.”

Radar recently reported that Kerry has already met with a divorce attorney.

But the cryptic couple pals describe as “homebodies” stunned observers by making a rare joint public appearance at the Kennedy Center Honors ceremony last Sunday.

So maybe the home sale was a strategic financial move and the pair has a future as real estate barons!
