RICHIE SAMBORA has been given the old heave-ho by JON BON JOVI from the band he co-founded – report.

Sambora, 54, has been with Jon Bon Jovi’s riotous rockers since its formed in 1983 — and he kicked out the jams on no less than 12 albums selling a total of 130 million copies.

As The ENQUIRER reported previously Jon and Richie have been at loggerheads for months with Sambora not accompanying the band on its recent tour.

"There were a lot of well-documented problems, so this was the best decision for now," one source told media.

But another source close to the actual situation said while the two had been feuding on Twitter, reports of a bust-up between Richie and Jon are premature. Sambora had taken a leave of absence for “personal reasons” –reportedly to enter rehab for booze abuse.

With ticket sales reported down for their recent tour, the band Bon Jovi is actually said to be “Living on a Prayer.”
