EDWARDS WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION FACES CONTEMPT IN SEX TAPE WAR WITH MISTRESS

Former JOHN EDWARDS loyalist ANDREW YOUNG who is the star witness in the feds conspiracy case on the disgraced love rat faces contempt charges in his sex tape war with RIELLE HUNTER!

Young, who wrote a tell-all book “The Politician” about the Edwards affair and his part in the conspiracy of silence, his wife and attorneys, may find themselves facing a criminal rap.

A judge in Orange County Superior Court ruled Monday that lawyers for Rielle Hunter, the mothers of Edwards ‘love child, Frances Quinn,  has presented enough evidence to pursue criminal contempt charges against the Youngs and their attorneys.

The bone of contention is that Young and his legal team violated a court order when they slipped information to Federal prosecutors that had sealed in Orange County Superior Court.

Judge Mike Morgan stressed in his ruling that he was not deciding on the contempt charges YET, but found enough evidence to warrant more hearings.

Political insiders worry that if Young is found guilty of supplying the Feds key evidence in their case against the disgraced two-time Presidential loser, their case against Edwards may be crippled especially since Young is their key witness.

As The ENQUIRER first reported the Youngs are involved in a legal tussle with Hunter over ownership of a videotape that shows Edwards and a then-pregnant Hunter having sex.

Hunter claims the items are hers and is suing the Youngs in 2010 in Orange County.
While shielding Edwards’ paramour from The ENQUIRER’s investigative teams the Youngs claim they found the items including the notoriously alleged sex tape in the house they once shared with the runaway mistress.

As lawyers gathered information for the civil case in state courts, federal prosecutors, spurred by The ENQUIRER’S exhaustive investigation, probed allegations that Edwards had violated federal campaign finance law to fund the cover-up.

Last week The ENQUIRER reported that Edwards attorney’s successfully pushed the federal trial back to next year citing lack of time to analyze the voluminous stack of documents of prosecution witnesses obtained by both the FBI and IRS.

Edwards, 58, was charged violating campaign finance laws by using contributions from two wealthy supporters -100 year old Listerine heiress Rachel “Bunny” Mellon and late Dallas financier Fred Baron to fund Edwards’ alleged conspiracy to hide his pregnant mistress from not only The ENQUIRER but his wife, Elizabeth, AND the world.

In the sex tape case, lawyers deposed Edwards for nearly six hours in February while he was under oath – a question-and-answer session from which any videotapes and transcripts were to be sealed from the media and public scrutiny.

But Hunter’s attorneys claim Young and his legal team violated that protective order when they handed over that information to federal investigators.

Hunter’s attorneys argue Young should be held in criminal contempt of court for giving that information without the former videographer’s "knowledge, input or consent."
