A furious JODIE FOSTER has turned her back on her father – who’s facing 20 years behind bars for a housing scam!
Investors have accused Lucius Fisher Foster III, 89, of bilking them out of more than $100,000 in a scheme to build modular homes from Chinese shipping containers.
Even worse, authorities say the conniving cad used his famous Oscar-winning daughter’s name to help fleece his victims!
The Los Angeles city attorney has charged him with 17 counts of grand theft and seven of contracting without a license.
“I have heard that Jodie is very upset and angry, and I’m sure I’ve embarrassed her,” Foster told The ENQUIRER in an exclusive interview. “Everyone’s walking away from me right now, and I can’t blame them. But I would love to hear from Jodie.”
The “Silence of the Lambs” star, 49, is one of Foster’s 10 children. Jodie was born after her parents divorced. She was conceived when her mother, Brandy, visited Foster with a demand for support.
Meantime, Foster is accused of conning 20 people to make $5,000 down payments on 2,000-square-foot, three-bedroom homes made from 40-foot Chinese shipping containers. And L.A. cops now say that four more victims will be added to the charges against him.
His website, Modernistic Properties, sought buyers on Craigslist and other online sites, according to authorities.
“Foster told at least half the victims that he is Jodie’s father as part of the scam to build up trust,” L.A. Deputy City Attorney Don Cocek said.
