Dancing with the Stars competitor JENNIFER GREY was left devastated when she couldn’t say goodbye to her dear friend PATRICK SWAYZE, pals say.
Jennifer has told her close friends that Swayze’s widow wouldn’t allow her to see her Dirty Dancing co-star before he passed away, insiders say.
"Jennifer says she and Patrick had a very special bond. Although they had not seen each other for a while, they stayed in touch," a DWTS insider revealed.
"When she heard he had terminal cancer, she was very upset. After that, she called often to talk and boost his spirits."
During Swayze’s last days, Jennifer desperately wanted to see him, but his wife Lisa Niemi turned her away, said the source.
"Lisa allowed only immediate family and very close friends in the house to say goodbye to Patrick because that’s what she said he wanted," the show insider added.
"Lisa wasn’t trying to be difficult, but Patrick knew thousands of people and considered all of them ‘friends.’ So who do you decide should be there as he’s dying?
"Lisa felt she had to say ‘no’ to Jennifer."
