Mega Split!

Amazon Head Jeff Bezos & Wife MacKenzie Announce $160-Billion Divorce

Couple parting after 'long period of loving explorations!'

Jeff Bezos and his wife of 25 years MacKenzie announced they are divorcing today in a Twitter post — setting up what should prove history’s biggest celebrity split.

The National ENQUIRER has learned that the two met in New York City in the early 1990s while both working at the investment firm D.E Shaw, and married before moving to Seattle in 1994, where he founded Amazon.

Bezos, who passed Bill Gates in July 2017 on the Forbes Billionaires list to become recognized as the richest person in the world.

The magazine in Dec. 2018 estimated his net worth at $126.2 billion — but is fluctuates due to stock-market volatility between $120-160 billion.

“We want to make people aware of a development in out lives,” the billionaire explained in the tweet, which was signed “Jeff & MacKenzie,” and remarkably touts: “If we’d known we would separate after 25 years, we would do it all again.”

The mega-company’s market value is in the $800 billion range, with Bezos’ share roughly 17%. In addition to the Bezos’ ownership of The Washington Post, the couple owns homes in Washington state, New York City, Washington DC, Texas and California.

It remains unclear whether or not the couple’s marriage included a prenuptial agreement governing post-split income distribution. They share three sons and a daughter, all under the age of 20.
