When six cars collided in an ice storm on Interstate 70 in Glenwood Canyon in Colorado, fiery actor James Woods was almost sent plunging 100 feet off a cliff to a cold and watery death!
The “Casino” actor, 68, managed to avoid the pileup by swerving, but he hit a wall and then slammed into a guardrail — which luckily held, stopping his Jeep Grand Cherokee from falling into the Colorado River.
“God smiled on me today,” tweeted the actor, who walked away with only “a little concussion.”
James credited the Jeep with saving his life — even though its airbag did not deploy — calling it “an old tank.”
“I am so happy to be alive,” James added. “Thanks for all the lovely words of support, everybody. Please drive safely for the Holidays.”
