Political enemies of Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton hope to find a smoking gun among the emails of advisor Huma Abedin now that the State Department has agreed to release to the public 29,000 pages from Huma’s private account sent to or received from Hillary between 2009 and 2013.

When State was last year investigating Hillary’s use of a private email account while serving as secretary of state, some messages from Hillary to Huma were uncovered, so Huma was asked to turn over work-related messages on her personal account.

“The parties have agreed that State will produce to (conservative watchdog group) Judicial Watch responsive, nonexempt records from within the recently received documents, excluding news clippings/briefings contained therein,” said the court filing.

State has been releasing chunks of Hillary’s email monthly according to a court order — a process set to be completed on Jan. 29.

State will start vetting Huma’s emails by March and disclosing non-classified messages to Judicial Watch at rate that will be completed by April 2017.
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said the group wants to check Huma’s messages against HIllary’s to see if they match, or if there are any that Hillary did not turn over to the State Department.

“Obviously, she was as close an aide as you could have had to Mrs. Clinton,” said conservative activist Tom. “If Mrs. Clinton didn’t keep records she should have, or destroyed or deleted them, maybe we can find them through Ms. Abedin.”
