Furious CALISTA FLOCKHART just can’t clip husband HARRISON FORD’s wings – as these National ENQUIRER photographs show, her rebellious flyboy has already taken to the skies after his near-deadly crash!
“Calista was unhappy and stressed over Harrison’s recent injuries,” said a pal of the “Indiana Jones” star.
“She’d put her foot down. She didn’t want him to fly!”
But Harrison – sporting wounds from the crash, including a depressed cheek – ignored his wife and took off in his private helicopter on May 28.
The decision proved his son, Ben, right: He’d declared that his dad was “determined to fly again!”
But friends are still worried that Harrison is sending his marriage into a tailspin with his decision!
Although her rep insisted The ENQUIRER she “supported” Harrison’s dangerous hobby, Calista had sworn to a close pal: “He wants to get back up there, but he’ll do it over my dead body!”
“Calista was having to play mother hen with Harrison because he wanted to engage in his favorite activities, even though he’s a lot more frail now,” said a source.
In the end, the 72-year-old actor was “antsy to get back to his high-flying ways,” according to a pal – after the double blow of the March plane crash and a horrific on-set accident while filming the upcoming “Star Wars” movie.
The latter shattered Harrison’s left leg when a set piece malfunctioned.
One eyewitness at the Santa Monica Airport reported Harrison was “walking a little steady” – but used a golf cart to get to his helicopter after parking nearby.
It’s not surprising he needed the extra help: The screen legend broke his pelvis and ankle when he crash-landed in Venice, Calif. He also suffered head injuries.
But in an attempt to avoid the glaring eyes of photographers, Harrison wore a baseball cap to cover up the large gash on his scalp during his helicopter jaunt.
