Halle Berry—now locked in her third divorce battle—is being blasted by her first husband as a vindictive vixen who didn’t immediately squash vicious rumors that he was a sicko wife-beater!
Former baseball star David Justice — wed to Berry from 1993 to 1997 — said the “Monster’s Ball” Oscar-winner publicly claimed she’d lost her hearing in one ear from a ferocious beating and refused to name her celebrity attacker.
Instead, David says Halle kept silence to let people believe he was the creep!
Now he’s warning her estranged actor hubby Olivier Martinez, who is in the middle of a nasty divorce from the “X-Men” temptress, that the same thing could happen to him.
“When she first reported she had been in abusive relationships, she wouldn’t name the ‘famous’ former boyfriend,” said David.
“She was mad at me for leaving, so she and her Hollywood team just tried to destroy my character.
“It had to be my fault, right?”
Halle, 49, eventually corrected rumors David abused her, but he insisted “she could’ve squashed them at the time.”
David says she let the speculation linger for 15 years — leaving him to explain his innocence to his current wife and children and the kids he coaches in baseball, basketball and football.
“I’m trying to be a role model,” he explained.
In between David and Olivier, Halle was married to musician Eric Benet.
Said a Hollywood insider: “Halle wasn’t expecting this. She was taken totally by surprise.
“She must be fit to be tied. It’s been a long time coming, but you can take this as Justice’s revenge — and it’s pretty final!”
