Dolly Parton has serious concerns over goddaughter Miley Cyrus’ erratic behavior!
Sources close to the country music legend say Dolly has been so upset by 21-year-old Miley’s antics that she fears the former Disney star may need professional help.
Insiders say Dolly was “horrified” at shocking photos of Miley parading around in a pair of pasties at designer Alexander Wang’s New York Fashion Week party on Sept. 6.
“Dolly’s always been prepared to give Miley the benefit of the doubt,” one insider told The National ENQUIRER.
“But, now, enough is enough. She believes that if Miley doesn’t mend her ways soon, she could end up like Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan.”
The 68-year-old “Jolene” singer is well acquainted with psychiatric issues, having admitted to struggling with depression and thoughts of suicide.
In April, Dolly shocked fans by confessing, “Depression runs in my family.” She also admitted that personal problems often plunge her into despair.
Insiders say Dolly was also stunned by Miley’s near-pornographic performance with Robin Thicke at last year’s MTV Video Music Awards show.
As a result, Dolly has been aggressive about seeking help for Miley – even having a fierce exchange of words with her parents, Billy Ray and Tish, said a source close to the family. “Dolly warned them, ‘If you can’t rein her in, I’m going to have to step in and do something myself!’”
And it certainly seems as though Miley needs help. Photos showed the “Wrecking Ball” singer smoking pot and partying with strippers and, as The ENQUIRER reported in August, even saying she wants to have plastic surgery to get a bigger butt and boobs – just like Dolly!
Insiders say Dolly was also stunned by Miley’s near-pornographic performance with Robin Thicke at last year’s MTV Video Music Awards show, prompting her to take action now. “Dolly feels very protective towards Miley,” confided the pal. “In many ways they’re very similar. Dolly often says ‘Miley’s just like me when I was a kid.’”
