Demi Lovato has been rushed to an L.A. hospital suffering from what could be a possible heroin overdose — with the troubling report coming just weeks after The National ENQUIRER revealed that the tragic tweener icon had fallen into a tragic spiral of drug abuse!

Sources have told The National ENQUIRER that Demi was treated with Narcan — used in cases of overdoses of heroin and other opiates — at her home before being rushed to the hospital.

It has already been announced that a planned concert on July 26 in Atlantic City has been canceled.

“Demi is awake and with her family, who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support,” said Lovato’s rep in a statement given to Variety.

“Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now.”

Los Angeles Police Department Officer Ray Brown told RADAR Online: “Police received a call at 11:37 am of a possible OD of a 25-year-old female in Hollywood.”

Demi made her own startling confession about substance abuse with the pop song “Sober,” which was released right after The ENQUIRER exclusive hit newsstands in June.

Demi — who found fame on the Disney Channel alongside the Jonas Brothers in “Camp Rock” movies — had been spotted partying at the drug-fueled music festival Coachella in April.

Then, said concerned insiders, the troubled “Sorry Not Sorry” singer began to skip recovery meetings.

“Demi relapsed about two months ago,” a source told The ENQUIRER in June, “because she stopped the accountability portion of her recovery.”
