LIZA MINNELLI’s sister, Lorna Luft, has canceled her worldwide concert tour to undergo “extensive surgery” to battle against breast cancer.
Fresh out of rehab after ingesting a killer combo of booze and pills, pals fear Liza, 69, will suffer her own devastating setback in the wake of the news!
The National ENQUIRER first reported in April that Lorna’s cancer had returned.
She had been touring the United Kingdom, and earning rave reviews, while paying tribute to her famous mother in “Judy – The Songbook of Judy Garland.”
Lorna, 62, is now rushing back to the U.S. after being “advised by her medical team that she requires further treatment and extensive surgery.”
Liza’s stepsister was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in 2012.
She had a lumpectomy and completed six rounds of preventive chemotherapy.
A family friend told The ENQUIRER: “Everyone is praying both Liza and Lorna can make it through this very difficult time.”
