Love rat Ben Affleck’s mother stepped into the middle of his marriage crisis — and publicly threw her support behind daughter-in-law Jennifer Garner!
Jennifer, 43, and Ben’s mom, Christine Anne Boldt, were recently spotted laughing it up as they walked to church with Jen and Ben’s 6-year-old daughter Seraphina.
“Christine has always been close to Jennifer throughout her roller-coaster 10-year marriage to Ben, and the two women aren’t letting the possibility of divorce come between them,” said a Hollywood insider.
“Ben’s mother has chosen sides and she’s letting everyone know she’s with Team Jennifer.”
Meanwhile, Ben’s getting the cold shoulder from his mom, who’s livid over reports her scandal-plagued son had an affair with their kids’ nanny — 28-year-old blonde beauty Christine Ouzounian.
Even though both Affleck and Ouzounian have denied the cheating claims, Ben’s mother is “furious and embarrassed he was put in this sleazy situation,” added the source.
“His mother chastised him about his behavior and told him if he loses Jennifer he’s making the biggest mistake of his life.”
In 2003, when he was engaged to Jennifer Lopez, Affleck was accused of having a one-night stand with a stripper during a wild, alcohol-and-drug-fueled house party in Vancouver.
“The lurid headlines drove his mom to distraction,” said the source.
“Now, with his mother and Jen having such a strong bond, Ben is starting to feel like an outsider.”
After the nanny scandal, Jennifer decided to give Ben another chance for the sake of their kids, Samuel, 3, Seraphina and 10-year-old Violet.
But the screen stud, 43, then reportedly began seeing curvy actress Abigail Kuklis, 31, on the sly.
“They’ve spent time together on both coasts,” said a production insider.
“It’s been very hush-hush.”
Abigail’s relationship with Ben seemed to be paying off.
She’s got a bit part as a flight attendant in his upcoming “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” due out in March.
Now friends fear Jennifer, who’s had to deal with Ben’s gambling and booze problems, will suffer a heartbreaking new blow when she learns about Abigail.
“I think Jennifer will be absolutely devastated,” said the source.
“Divorce may be her only option.”
