Rob Shuter reports… Pop diva Ariana Grandeand Pete Davidson started September slowing down fast after a whirlwind romance and engagement!
“They’re finding they have nothing in common,” a source spilled to The National ENQUIRER, with other outlets also now reporting that the showbiz couple have split on their way to the altar!
“She has a crazy busy schedule,” the insider said, “and at first it was super exciting for Pete to date one of the world’s hottest singers. But now, it’s not so much fun being Mr. Ariana Grande.”
The source added that the strain was already showing at the end of August, and that “most friends doubt they’ll ever make it to a wedding!”
At the same time, insiders reported more friction between the couple after Pete tagged along with Ariana to the funeral of Aretha Franklin — where Ariana performed, and the couple were seen hobnobbing with President Bill Clinton.
Fans of both Aretha and Ariana rushed to social media to mock Pete’s presence at the solemn occasion.
That was followed by more outrage when Pete used their relationship as comedy fodder during the October premiere of the 44th season of “Saturday Night Live” — just weeks after Ariana was still struggling to cope with the recent overdose death of her old boyfriend Mac Miller!
