The son of Queen of Soul ARETHA FRANKLIN was savagely attacked at a gas station in Detroit.
Eddie Franklin, 52, a talented gospel singer in his own right, was assaulted by three perps — two men and a woman – who left him bleeding and broken.
Detroit police spokeswoman Eren Stephens said a female pal was with Franklin minutes before the beating took place.
Reportedly, the gal pal had entered the gas station, and when she exited, the savage assault had occurred.
Cops say she then drove Franklin to the hospital, dropped him off before going to a police station to file a report.
Franklin underwent emergency surgery.
A Franklin family spokesperson did not divulge the hospital’s name nor give any details of the savage attack to media pending Detroit police investigation.
Recently, Eddie Franklin had laid a few tracks on his mom Aretha’s latest release, singing "His Eye Is On the Sparrow" and "A Woman Falling Out of Love."
