There’s “No Doubt” divorce lawyers will cash out big-time with Gwen Stefani’s divorce from Gavin Rossdale!
The rock star couple will split a combined $115 million fortune – and The ENQUIRER can now reveal their nearly 13-year marriage collapsed over Gavin’s torrid gay love affair!
Gwen, 45, couldn’t get over Gavin’s admission that he romanced cross-dressing rocker Peter “Marilyn” Robinson in the 1980s, and it drove a wedge between them!
“[Gwen] didn’t want to know or acknowledge certain things about [Gavin],” Marilyn told The ENQUIRER. “She wanted to edit his past and he wanted to as well.”
When Marilyn revealed their relationship in 2009, Gavin – London-born frontman for the rock band Bush – initially denied it. A year later, Gavin admitted his denial was a lie.
“He called our relationship an experimentation, indiscretion of youth,” Marilyn sniffed. “Our experiment went on for five years!
“If you don’t live in your own truth, whatever it may be, how can you be happy? You’re not at peace with yourself.”
The couple’s marriage was also rocked by the 2004 news that 49-year-old Gavin fathered a love child, Daisy Lowe, with his ex-girlfriend, fashion designer Pearl Lowe.
Gwen cited “irreconcilable differences” when she filed for divorce on Aug. 3, and indicated she doesn’t want to pay spousal support.
She heads her own fashion line, L.A.M.B., and is reportedly worth an estimated $80 million, while Gavin’s bank account is $35 million.
They reportedly have no prenup, and will seek joint custody of their sons – 9-year-old Kingston, 6-year-old Zuma and 1-year-old Apollo.
Marilyn added: “Gwen wants [Gavin] to be something he’s not, and he wants to be something he’s not. That’s my interpretation. I’m very sad for all parties involved, mostly the children.”
