A new way to check dementia is literally a dream come true!

Researchers have concluded that dreaming is a good way to prevent severe cognitive decline.

After analyzing 19 years of data from a large group of subjects aged 60 and up, the team of specialists found a strong connection between increased dementia risk and not getting enough deep REM sleep!

“REM sleep helps maintain brain integrity in the face of changes that occur with aging and early Alzheimer’s disease,” said Dr. Matthew Pase of Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia.
