AS part of an ongoing investigation, The ENQUIRER can reveal that the Boston Marathon bomber’s wife is beginning to reject the strict Muslim rules forced upon her by her evil husband as her family urges her to convert back to Christianity.
The 24-year-old widow of coldhearted fanatic Tamerlan Tsarnaev is living with her parents in their Rhode Island home, and sources say she’s already changed her name from Karima Tsarnaeva back to her maiden name, Katherine Russell.
“Katherine’s family would like her to revert to her Christian faith,” said a source close to the family.
“They don’t want to force it on her, but they’re encouraging her, and Katherine is slowly starting to change.”
The single mom has already broken from strict Muslim guidelines by wearing fingernail polish and eating at fast food restaurants, such as Chipotle, with pals, said the source.
She was widowed when Tamerlan was killed in a police shootout on April 19 – four days after he and his younger brother Dzhokhar allegedly set off bombs during the Boston Marathon. Three people were killed in the cowardly attack and 264 more were wounded, several of whom lost limbs.
Katherine has repeatedly claimed through her attorney that she knew nothing about the bombing, but
sources say she remains under investigation.
“Before she fell under Tamerlan’s spell, Katherine was just your average all-American girl,” revealed the source. “She was happy-go-lucky, and as her teachers have noted, not particularly religious.”
But she seemed to undergo a radical change after meeting Tamerlan and moving into his family home in Cambridge, Mass.
“Katherine was working 80 hours a week as a home health care aide while her husband led a secret double life that she knew nothing about,” said the source. “Tamerlan browbeat and berated Katherine, calling her a slut and a prostitute for not dressing ‘modestly’ in accordance with the Muslim religion.
“Katherine was completely subservient to him. She cowered around him.”
