COPS in Tennessee arrest GREGORY SCOTT HALE after he confesses to murdering, dismembering and eating chunks of a woman he met only the day before.
Police have ID-ed the victim as Lisa Marie Hyder.
Hale, 37, told law enforcement that he committed the heinous act in the home he shraes with his parents.
The Los Angeles Times reported that the Coffee County Sheriff's Office had apparently received a tip from a neighbor that he had "reason to believe" Hale had killed someone. He was said to be a Satan worshipper and serial killer devotee – especially the Night Stalker posting eerie messages to the evil killer.
WSMV reports that police learned that Hale was allegedly seeking an accomplice to help him dispose of the remains.
According to the arrest warrant and legal docs, investigators executed a search warrant and found Hale, who confessed to the slaying, according to court documents. Hale told police that he chopped Hyder's head from her corpse, then cut off her hands and feet and placed them into separate buckets.
The warrant says that Hale also "admitted to eating part of the victim after murdering her," the warrants said.
Hale's parents appear to have been completely unaware of the murder.
They told police that they "were in a different part of the residence when the killings took place."
Cops say that Hale killed the woman as part of a dark Satanic ritual.
Hale is charged with murder and abusing a corpse, and held in lieu of $1.5 million bond. He's docketed to appear in court next week.
