O.J. Simpson ‘Cub Reporter’ Georgina In Murder Tragedy

Georgina Concepcion

In a twist of fate, a young girl who once covered the O.J. Simpson trial for The ENQUIRER grew up to help cops arrest her stepdad for murdering her mother!

Georgina Concepcion was only 9 when she charmed our readers by landing a courtroom seat during the trial.

The fourth grader wrote to the judge four times and finally got a seat – earning an “A” on a report and providing a day of court coverage for our June 27, 1995, issue!

Sadly, the crime of domestic violence returned to haunt her in July 2012. Then living in Anchorage, Alaska, she grew alarmed when her mom, Linda, didn’t make her usual Sunday call from California.

Linda still lived with Georgina’s stepdad, Sigfredo, but was days away from finalizing a divorce.

Georgina repeatedly tried to reach her and left a message saying she was contacting police. Shortly after, Sigfredo called cops to report he’d found the body of his estranged wife, 64.

Linda’s cause of death was a gunshot wound, and Georgina quickly proved she still had a nose for news!

When Sigfredo called her to report the death, Georgina kept him talking, and was convinced he’d killed her.

She soon learned that authorities shared her suspicions. Georgina took to the Internet to track down the killer, and started a Facebook page called “Justice for Linda Concepcion.”

On March 20, Sigfredo, 73, was arrested and booked on suspicion of murder.
