The former Tudors star set the internet ablaze with the official Warner Brothers  release of the first image of Cavill as The Man of Steel

Yet, this other-worldly Clark Kent has clearly been pumping iron – and baddies.

Cavill told Total Film that he is consuming 5,000 calories a day for his role as The Kryptonian Crusader which is shooting key sequences in Chicago.

“You’ve got to eat protein first, then a little bit of carbs,” he divulged.

“You’ve gotta keep your hunger levels going.

'I’m training two and a half hours a day, pushing my body beyond its normal limits, putting on a lot of muscle mass and just making myself look like Superman.”

But you gotta STOP using that greasy kid stuff, Hank.
