Racing’s hottest babe DANICA PATRICK, who may be switching to NASCAR full time, has an ace up her sleeve and it’s NOT DALE EARNHARDT, JR!
The fastest woman alive can still run the prestigious Indianapolis 500 even if she makes a full-time move to NASCAR.
Insiders familiar with Danica’s hush-hush 2012 agenda revealed she’s in the final stages of a deal to racer full-time with JR Motorsports as well as limited Sprint Cup Series races with the team owned by two-time NASCAR champion Tony Stewart.
The deal, insiders say, won't be inked until she secures a release from Andretti Autosport, AP reported.
The negotiations also include her continuing to run the Indy 500.
JR Motorsports co-owner Dale Earnhardt Jr. said he wants the hell-bent for leather speed queen to run a full Nationwide schedule with his team.
Danica has driven 19 races for JR Motorspoprts over the past two years and has an additional 6 skedded this year.
"I would like for her to run fulltime, and I'm sure she is considering that, and I think she would enjoy it," Dale Earnhardt, Jr. divulged.
"I feel confident that she's content where she is and happy with what we're doing. I think things are looking positive for us to put something together."
Running the Indy 500 requires racers to spend most of May at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, while NASCAR ran three Nationwide races during the same time period.
Danica had placed third in the 2009 Indy 500, the highest finish EVER for a woman.
“She's way ahead of the curve," Dale, Jr. admitted.
