Exclusive… David Letterman & Son Enjoy A Beach Day In St. Barts
David Letterman looks determined to keep enjoying his retirement — as the former "Late Show" host keeps looking less and less like his old self on the beach at St. Barts.
The National ENQUIRER caught Dave on the tiny Caribbean island that's a favorite hideaway for celebrities, although few people would recognize him nowadays. At least his 12-year-old son Harry (holding the camera) is used to his dad's shocking new look!

Not that Harry is a big fan of Dave's new facial hair. “Everybody hates it,” said David. "My wife hates it. My son hates it. But it's interesting. I've kind of developed a real creep look with it that I'm sort of enjoying." Harry (and his young pal) seems a lot less creeped out nowadays — and it looks like Dave is enough of a cool dad to still put a smile on the face of his most important audience!

"I had to shave every day, every day, for 33 years," David added. "And even before that when I was working on local TV. And I just thought, the first thing I will do when I am not on TV is stop shaving!"

But while Dave — who'll turn 69 years old on April 12 — has sprouted more hair on his face, he's also ditched the toupee that he used to mock on his talk show!

David's also looking a little leaner since starting his long stay on St. Barts. The ENQUIRER earlier caught him
starting up an exercise routine after getting a bit bulkier than in his hosting days.
