Unlicensed TV shrink “Dr.” PHIL MCGRAW needs his head examined! Despite triggering an embarrassing PR fiasco after shamelessly attempting to hype sagging ratings by offering to “counsel” BRITNEY SPEARS after busting into her hospital room, Dr. Bombastic STILL won’t back off!

Using wife ROBIN as a conduit to her longtime pal LYNNE SPEARS, Brit’s mom, he’s begging for a replay. Confided an inside source: “Phil says his motivations were misunderstood and he wanted the family to know he wasn’t trying to use them for ratings. He says he still wants to help Britney – and he is more than willing to do it on the QT.” Robin reluctantly broached the subject with Lynne, who told her: Thanks…but no, thanks!
