Hugh told Liz he’d “always” be there for her — but her request floored him. After seconds of stunned silence, Hugh woefully declined, saying, “That’s just too much for me to handle.” He later confided to pals that witnessing the woman he loved giving birth to another fellow’s child is unthinkable.
