TV icon KEN OSMOND who played the notorious EDDIE HASKELL on "Leave It to Beaver" is in a snit  — and NOW his union is backing him up!

Ken who played Tony Dow’s BFF, Eddie, on the 1960s sitcom classic “Leave It to Beaver” had sued Federal Insurance Company in a class action suit on behalf of TV actors denied residuals from long running TV programs.

TV stars later negotiated to get profits from their shows but those stars from the 1950s and early 1960s were denied such windfalls.

Residuals are what made latter-day stars like Jennifer Aniston uber-wealthy.

Now, The Screen Actors Guild has stepped into the legal fray.

SAG had demanded $330,000 from Federal Insurance Co., claiming it refused in bad faith to pay the settlement of Ken Osmond's class action on residuals.

Despite long standing rumors that Ken died in Viet Nam during the 1970s – he didn’t.

He became a LA cop working in vice and narcotics.
