Approximately 1,500 people showed up at Harlem’s Abyssinian Baptist Church in a vigil attended by Whitney Houston‘s mother to pray for her daughter’s well-being as well as for others who are addicted to drugs or alcohol. Whitney has her share of troubles recently – checking herself into a rehab center for a month of treatment and checking herself out five days later. The Rev. Al Sharpton led the crowd in prayer, mentioning Whitney specifically.
