UPDATE: MADONNA AND GUY GO BUDDHIST

description

Don’t expect Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s wedding to be too over the top — the two are expected to make their vows in a low-key Buddhist ceremony, according to a British paper.

To accomplish this, the Material Girl has selected Scotland’s Skibo castle as the backdrop for the wedding. The couple believes this location will provide them with the calm atmosphere they’re looking for.

“The venue is very peaceful and she wants it to have an air of tranquility,” a source said. “Madonna is a devout follower of Buddhism and she wants the whole thing to have a Buddhist feel.”

According to the paper, Madonna simply does not want a repeat of her first wedding (with actor Sean Penn) remembered for its over-the-top insanity with huge press coverage. Held on a beachfront in California, it was much too accessible by the press.

“Her last wedding was a nightmare with helicopters buzzing overhead and was a bit of a disaster. She doesn’t want to repeat those mistakes and Guy has left much of the organizing to her.”

Let’s just hope she doesn’t take any advice from Catherine Zeta Jones, who ended up spending millions on her wedding with Michael Douglas last month — it was anything but low-key.
