She did it once, and now she’s done it again: model Naomi Campbell is in trouble with the law, this time getting arrested by British police for her involvement in an alleged attack.
Campbell, 36, was taken into custody on Wednesday for allegedly assaulting her drug counselor. Although British police cannot release the names of persons unless they have been charged with a crime, it was determined that Campbell was detained after the alleged victim filed a formal complaint. It has not been confirmed if she will face assault charges.
Those in Campbell’s camp told a British paper they believe the incident was simply a misunderstanding. “Once police have investigated we are sure this will be resolved satisfactorily,” her spokesman told the press.
This week’s incident follows a handful of previous run-ins with the law during the past year. Last July, Campbell was arrested in London when police were called to the home of her ex, Dubai multi-millionaire Badr Jafar, when he reported her for causing a disturbance on his property.
In March, she faced second-degree assault charges in New York City for allegedly throwing a cell phone at her housekeeper.
