ANGELA LANSBURY TO RETURN TO BROADWAY

description

It will be ‘Broadway, She Wrote’ for Murder, She Wrote star Angela Lansbury when the actress makes her return to the Broadway stage in May.

The legendary star, whose last Broadway performance was in 1984’s "Mame" revival, will lend her talents to “Deuce,” a new play conceived by Terrence McNally. She will appear alongside Marian Seldes in the play, which begins May 6 at the Music Box Theater.

In preparation for her stint on stage, four-time Tony winner Lansbury will also appear in the Nov. 5 benefit performance being staged at the Schoenfeld Theater and benefiting the York Company. The evening will showcase “This Is on Me: An Evening of Dorothy Parker,” a staged reading Parker’s works, adapted by Tom Fontana.

Lansbury continues to chair the Actors Advisory Board of the Acting Company.
